ITINERARY:
1st
Day: STRASBOURG – BUDAPEST
Rendezvous at our
river mooring, rue du Havre in Strasbourg. Transfer to
Strasbourg/Entzheim airport in the morning. Departure for Budapest
on a special flight. Refreshment on board. On your arrival, panoramic
tour of Budapest by coach. Boarding at the end of the afternoon and
settling into your cabin. Presentation of the crew. Welcome cocktail.
Dinner on board. Optional traditional evening in Budapest.
2nd
Day: BUDAPEST – BRATISLAVA
Breakfast on board. At
8h, departure of the boat and optional guided tour of Budapest, the
belle époque city par excellence, the incarnation of the sharp contrast
between twin cities divided by the Danube and united since 1872. You
will discover: haughty Buda with its winding streets, its Baroque
palaces, its Turkish bath establishments and its royal palace. And
bustling Pest, which offers a proud mixture of architectural styles.
Back to the boat for lunch. Departure of the cruise at 13h for
Bratislava. Dinner and an evening's entertainment on board.
3rd
Day: BRATISLAVA – VIENNA
Arrival in Bratislava
at 7h and breakfast on board. At around 8h30, departure for the
optional guided tour of Bratislava. Dominated to the north by the
slopes of the southern point of the Small Carpathians, bathed by the
Danube, Bratislava occupies a privileged geographical site. The charm
of the Slovakian capital lies in its old city: splendid Baroque
palaces, churches and pleasant squares. Back on board for lunch and
departure of the cruise for Vienna. Arrival in Vienna in the evening.
Dinner on board and free evening or optional tour of Vienna by night.
4th
Day: VIENNA
Breakfast on board.
Free morning in Vienna or optional visit to Schönbrunn Castle, summer
residence of the imperial family and part of Vienna, imperial city and
cradle of music. Back to the boat for lunch. Free afternoon in Vienna
or optional visit to the Hofburg, the Hapsburg Palace houses the crown
jewels and sumptuous imperial apartments. Back to the boat for dinner.
After dinner, the chance to attend a concert of Viennese music
(optional and dependent on availability). Departure of the boat during
the night.
5th
Day: MELK – PASSAU
Breakfast on board.
Cruise up the most beautiful section of the Wachau. Arrival in Melk
around 9h. Departure by coach for an optional excursion to Durnstein,
the most well known picturesque village in the Wachau. Famous for its
legend of King Richard the Lionheart, Durnstein has a church in the
Baroque style. Back to the boat for lunch. In the afternoon, optional
visit to the Abbey of Melk. Atop a rocky outcrop which overlooks the
Danube from a height of more than 50 m, it is the symbol of the most
complete expression of Baroque Art in Austria. Back on board and
departure of the boat around 16h for Passau. Gala evening and dinner.
6th
Day: PASSAU – STRASBOURG
Breakfast on board.
Disembarkation and freedom to explore the town of Passau in the company
of our hostess. Lunch in Passau. At around 15h, departure by coach
for Strasbourg on the Munich – Stuttgart motorway. Arrival at our river
mooring, rue du Havre in Strasbourg, around 20h. End of our journey.
